The Truth…Still Out There

We continue to be amazed at what is really happening on the ground over here (see Yediot Acharonot below) and what gets reported outside of Israel.
The NYT at least gets the basics of the story correct, but the tone suggests it is no big deal.
The AP ignores the entire story but instead focuses on the Israeli reaction. We note the especially creative phrase “architect of the Israeli onslaught” as if it were a line item on Tzipi Livni’s resume.

Israeli airstrike kills militant in Gaza
Gaza City — A missile from an Israeli aircraft struck a car in the southern Gaza Strip on killing a Palestinian militant and further straining a truce.
Israeli Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni, one of three candidates to become prime minister in Feb. 10 elections and an architect of the Israeli onslaught in Gaza, ruled out negotiating with Hamas, which controls the Gaza Strip.
“Terror must be fought with force and lots of force,” she said. “Therefore we will strike Hamas.”

Rocket From Gaza Strikes Israeli City
JERUSALEM — Palestinian militants fired one of their longer-range rockets from Gaza into the Israeli coastal city of Ashkelon on Tuesday, the first since a tenuous truce took hold more than two weeks ago.
The rocket landed in a built-up area of the city, causing some damage but no casualties.
