To make sure that you get the most out of your direct mail efforts, Negev Direct Marketing offers a wide variety of data processing services that will help lists work more effectively for you.
Merge/purge is a key part of the direct mail process. All lists ordered for your mailing go through a rigorous process of address standardization, zip correction and de-duplication.
To further enhance your merge/purge by eliminating “nixies” (names of people who have died, changed their address, etc.), we recommend including the Negev Direct Marketing Jewish Nixie File. This file has been painstakingly compiled in order to “scratch off” the nixies from any list, thereby saving you the expense of mailing to a “bad” name.
In addition, you may want to consider including the Direct Marketing Association’s Mail Preference File in your merge/purge. This file contains the names of people who have contacted the DMA to request that they not receive certain types of unsolicited mail.
Finally, after duplicate names, bad addresses and nixies have been identified and removed, the resulting master list is sorted for maximum postal rate discounts. Because of the expertise and attention to detail of our computer house, you will often save more in reduced postage than this entire process costs!
File maintenance includes updating your file and producing all required reports to meet your organization’s needs. On a periodic basis (monthly, quarterly or semi-annually, depending on your needs) we will update your database using the merge/purge techniques described above. We can also provide a variety of ancillary services, including assigning identification codes to new donors, preparing personalized “thank you” letters, identifying non-responders for re-solicitation and creating response analysis and tracking reports. We custom design all reports to meet your specifications and requirements.
The result is a completely updated file on a regular schedule and the generation of all reports necessary for you to make decisions on a timely basis.
