Sad news today from Washington.
Tom Lantos, who not only incredibly escaped two Nazi forced labor camps but eventually went on to be the only elected U.S. Representative to survive the Holocaust died today at the age of 80. Haaretz.com reports that “Flags were lowered to half-staff at the White House and U.S. Capitol building”
