To date, GJARN’s efforts have provided over $130 million dollars worth of food, clothing, and medicine to millions of Jews in the former Soviet Union, Cuba, Israel and even in the United States.
GJARN operates a network of food distribution programs in Russia and Ukraine and works closely with the United States Department of Agriculture in delivering aid to those most in need.
In Israel, GJARN has established Bank Mazon, Israel’s first national food bank. Since 2001, Bank Mazon has collected more than five million dollars worth of surplus food and distributes it through a network of more than 130 local charities.
